On Friday, Oct. 26, the Greenbrier East Spartans varsity team traveled to Princeton’s stadium to take on the Princeton Tigers.

The Tigers were chasing down their first victory of the season while the Spartans where in pursuit of a playoff spot. The Tigers put seven points on the score board first, but by the half, the Spartans had pulled away with a leading score of 20 un-answered points. That started a lead that continued on as the Greenbrier East Spartans persevered to claim victory with a final score of 53-14.

Special congratulations to the GVMC player of the game Kyle King as he led the Spartans in an impressive calm cool pace throughout the night. The Greenbrier East Spartans will host the Riverdale Warriors of Bell, WV, to a non-conference playoff game on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Congratulations, Spartans, and as always, go East!
