Shepherd’s Center of Greenbrier Valley invites the community to attend its annual Community Service Award luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the WVSOM Student Center. Doors open at 11:15 a.m., and the program begins at 11:30 a.m.
This year’s luncheon will honor Warren and Margaret May as the 2026 Community Service Award recipients, recognizing their leadership, generosity, and dedicated service to organizations and community initiatives throughout the Greenbrier Valley.
The Community Service Award is presented annually to a person or persons who exemplify Shepherd’s Center’s three tenets: lifelong learning, service to others, and spiritual growth. The luncheon is the organization’s main annual fundraiser, supporting volunteer-based programs and services that help older adults remain connected, independent, and engaged.
“We are grateful for the community’s continued support and delighted to celebrate Warren and Margaret May for the many ways they strengthen the Greenbrier Valley,” said Sarah Moloney, executive director of Shepherd’s Center of Greenbrier Valley. “This luncheon helps sustain programs that bring connection, purpose, and practical support to older adults across our region.”
