Sarah Jane Haynes Morgan

Second Creek-Sarah Jane Haynes Morgan, 83, passed peacefully with her family by her side Sunday, Mar. 15, 2020, at Greenbrier Health Care Center in Fairlea. Sarah was the last member of her immediate family.

She was born June 10, 1936, in Union, to the late Homer H. and Bertha V. Martin Haynes, Sr.

She was a member of Zion’s Light Baptist Church and had been a delivery nurse for Dr. Hancock in Union.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings; Homer H. Haynes, Jr., Virginia Moran, Isabelle Thomas, Everette Don Haynes and William Joseph Haynes, Sr.

Surviving are her husband, Delbert W. Morgan of Second Creek; daughter, Cheryl Bowman (Tom) of Organ Cave; sons, Chris Morgan (Sonja) of Troutville, VA, and Steve W. Morgan (Diana) of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Tech Sgt. Thad C. Bowman (Kassie), Tori Bowman, Charles H. Morgan (Bailey) and Tyler C. Bowman (Maddy); and great-grandchildren, Rylan, Weston and Reagan.

Funeral services for Mrs. Morgan were held on Wednesday, Mar. 18 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte where Pastor Gary Baker officiated. Interment followed in Lebanon Cemetery, Pickaway.

On Wednesday the family received friends before the services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Greenbrier County Humane Society, 151 Holliday Lane, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Greenbrier Health Care Center for the care they provided to Mrs. Morgan during her two-year stay.
