Mooresville, NC-Sarah Allalee Weikle, 79, formerly of White Sulphur Springs, passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, at Genesis Mooresville Center of an extended illness.

Her son, John Wayne Wikle, 53, of Kannapolis, NC, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, in Kannapolis, NC.

Sarah was born July 20, 1939, at White Sulphur Springs, a daughter of the late Warden and Altha Campbell Foster.

She was a member of Wild Meadow Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, John Wayne Wikle Sept. 2, 2018; sister, Carol Foster Turner; and grandson, Austin Wayne Wikle.

Sarah is survived by her loving husband, Harold Marshall Weikle, Sr.; daughter, Julie Weikle Hamm of Kannapolis, NC; son, Harold “Marshall” Wikle, Jr. of Mooresville, NC; sisters, Verna Wade Maye of White Sulphur Springs and Linda Foster Weikle of Union; brothers, Leroy Foster of White Sulphur Springs and Danny Foster of Ronceverte; and two step-grandchildren, Tatum Hamm Fisher and Robert Hamm, Jr.

John Wayne Wikle, 53, was born June 12, 1965, in Clifton Forge, VA. He was a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sonya Wikle and son, Austin Wikle.

He is survived by his father, Harold Marshall Weikle, Sr. of Mooresville, NC; sister, Julie Weikle Hamm of Kannapolis, NC; brother, Harold “Marshall” Wikle, Jr. of Mooresville, NC; and his partner, Kristi McMahon and her children, Brandon, Joshua and Megan.

Joint funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Wild Meadow Baptist Church, White Sulphur Springs, with Pastor Roger McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in Whatcoat Cemetery.

Friends may call from 12 noon until time of the service at the church on Saturday.
