 Ruth Marie Williams

Ruth Marie Williams, 79, passed away on Tuesday, Mar. 3, 2026, at Lindside Health Care Center. She was born Apr. 3, 1946, in Monroe County, WV, to the late Ira Lee McMahan and Beatrice Juanita Green McMahan.

Ruth was a beloved wife and mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister. She lived life defined by love, compassion, and devotion to her family. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Lewisburg, WV.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert Williams; her daughter, Crystal Michele Williams; great-grandson, Hunter Walton; her brothers, Raymond Roy McMahan, Carl Willard McMahan, and George Ray McMahan; brother-in-law, Hasten Freeny; her sisters, Barbara Lee McMahan Freeny and Wanda Rose McMahan Wykle; nephews, Ronnie Lee Wykle, Tracy Dean Pack, and Anthony Dean Pack; and nieces, Trohonda Springston Boreiy and Juanita Rene Pack.

She leaves behind one son, Mark Williams and wife Tina of Lindside, WV; one daughter, Melissa Williams of Ronceverte, WV; grandchildren, Courtney Risoli (Jimmy) of New Jersey, Latasha White (Joshua) of Lindside, WV, Cheyenne Wiggan (Keneil) of Roanoke, VA, Brittany Williams (fiancé Shannon Bowman), Whitney Coles of Ohio, Brett Haynes of Beckley, WV, Levi Spence and Seth Pritt of Ronceverte, WV; sisters, Shirely Ann McMahan Springston (Tony) of Lindside, WV, Delsie Rene McMahan Pack Knicely (Terrence) of Friars Hill, WV, and Georgia Mae McMahan of White Sulphur Springs, WV; brothers, Dalford Gene McMahan (Kathy) of Zenith, WV, and Virgil Dale McMahan (Josephine) of Renick, WV; daughter-in-law, Debra McMahan of Peterstown, WV; special brother/nephew, James Pierce, Jr. (Dee Dee) of North Carolina; eight nieces and a special niece, Crystal Maupin who took care of Ruth; four nephews; numerous great nieces and great nephews; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Ruth is at peace and asleep waiting on the Second Coming of Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 KJV says, 16 “For the Lord himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

A celebration of life for Ruth and her late husband, Robert, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 15, at the Lewisburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church (1019 N. Court Street, Lewisburg, WV 24901) with Pastor Heroes Sical, officiating. Dinner will follow at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lewisburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
