Rupert CEOS marching in the Spring Fling parade in Rupert included: Front Row: Barbara Jones (left), Deloris Lilly, Sue Nichols, Joyce Anderson, Janice Welsh and Linda Whitlow; Back Row: Anne Howell (left), Ila Johnson, Juanita Keeney, Liz DeLapp, Mary George, Chris Peters, Glenda Kellen, Mary Erdely (recently deceased), and Nyla Minor.

This article is highlighting the Rupert CEOS Club in Greenbrier County. The club has 20 members and has many projects going on throughout the year. Some of these projects include making Valentine cards and Christmas cards for the Children’s Home residents in Rupert and the two nursing homes in the western end of Greenbrier County – Autumn Way in Rupert and Meadow Garden of Rainelle. After some COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, we will also enjoy once again playing Bingo (with prizes given out) with the residents in these two nursing homes. We also make cookies to give to the residents.

The CEOS made an Easter Basker for the residents in the Children’s Home in Rupert. Pictured: Front Row: Chris Peters (left), Deloris Lilly, Mary George, and Janice Welsh; Back Row: Gail Fleshman (left), Liz DeLapp, and Juanita Keeney.

Other projects we help with are the Blood Drive when in Rupert and the Energy Express Summer Program. Our group meets every second Thursday and cordially invites new members. We do have a picnic outing in June, as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Hope to see you there soon! If you have any questions or would like to join the CEOS Program, please contact Janice Welsh at 304-392-5069.
