May 7 is the day the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA) hosts their annual fundraiser ride, Run for the Son. The CMA is a worldwide evangelistic motorcycle ministry with chapters in every state and many countries mostly geared at reaching other bikers for Christ. Members attend bike rallies and motocross events and offer bike blessings, assist with parking, offer prayer and information booths with literature about Christianity.
Funds raised by each chapter each year are used to support these nationwide events and to send Bibles in other languages to other countries. Funds are also used to bring the Jesus film to other nations in their respective language and to provide dirt bikes and other means of transportation to pastors and missionaries in other countries.
If you are a biker with a heart for leading other bikers to the Lord, Lewisburg has a local Chapter called the Greenbrier Valley Circuit Riders. They meet the first Tuesday night of each month at 7 p.m. at Shoney’s in Lewisburg. All are welcome to attend these meeting with no pressure to become a member. Contact Donna Jones at 304-661-6410 or see their Facebook page.
