Roy Houston “Buzzy” Kincaid, Jr., 85, of Alderson passed away unexpectedly at his residences on May 14, 2025. He was born Jan. 6, 1940, in Washinton, DC, to the late Roy Houston Kincaid, Sr. and Clara M. (Honaker) Kincaid.

After attending Alderson Schools, Buzzy served in the United States Army. He then worked as a facility maintenance technician for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Alderson. Buzzy was a member of the Alderson Masonic Lodge #70 AF&AM for 40 years and was also a member of the Beni Kedem Shrine and the Pence Springs Community Church. He will be remembered for his passion for farming, hunting, fishing, visiting local restaurants, socializing with friends, and reading, particularly books about the Civil War. But most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughters Bonnie Gertrude Robinson, of Covington, VA, and Margaret Susan Watson, of Mount Airy, NC; his grandsons, Seneca Allen Haynes, of Blacksburg, VA, and Van Houston Hall, of Jacksonville, FL; as well as several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In a addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Joyce (Light) Kincaid, and his sister Margaret Susan Kincaid.

A private family graveside service and burial will be held on Tuesday, May 20, at 1 p.m. at the Kincaid Family Cemetery in Alderson.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Greenbrier County Humane Society, P.O. Box 926, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

Condolences and memories may be shared with the Kincaid family at www.lobbanfh.com.
