Members of the Alleghany Highlands Council 8689 Knights of Columbus will lead Rosary Recitations at six area Catholic cemeteries May 29-30.
On Sunday, May 29, at 8:30 a.m., the Knights will lead the Rosary Recitation at Mount Lorretta Cemetery adjoining St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on US 60 West in White Sulphur Springs, across from The Greenbrier hotel clinic.
At 11 a.m., the Knights will lead the Rosary Recitation at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery at Springdale as a part of that church’s annual homecoming which includes 11:30 a.m. Mass, the blessing of the cemetery, and a covered dish picnic.
On Memorial Day, the Knights will be leading the Rosary Recitations at St. John of God Catholic cemetery at Sam Black Church at 9 a.m.; and at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery near the Catholic Church of Mary Immaculate near Williamsburg at 10:30 a.m.
That afternoon at 3 o’clock the Knights will lead the Rosary Recitations at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery at Low Moor, VA, and at 4:30 p.m. at St. John, the Evangelist, Catholic cemeteries in Sweet Springs.
The Alleghany Highlands Council serves the Catholic communities of Alleghany, Bath, Craig counties in Virginia, and Greenbrier, Monroe, Pocahontas, Summers and eastern Fayette County, in West Virginia. Most recently the Knights brought an icon of the Holy Family to the Catholic churches of Greenbrier, Pocahontas, and Summers counties and hosted a dinner honoring the area high school graduates who are Catholic and their parents at the 32nd annual graduation dinner.
