Jessica Levine spoke to council members and asked for permission to plant various plants around the park pending grant approval with Sow Bees Initiative. She would hope to do this near the end of August or the beginning of September. The plants would be provided by Appalachian Headwaters, a nonprofit organization. Councilmembers approved the proposal and details will be planned out regarding dates for planting and future maintenance of the plants. Counsel commented on how the park has been flourishing with people over the summer months and citizens were also asked to remember that the park closes at 9 p.m.
