Ronceverte-Ronald F. “Ronnie” Baker, 74, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

Ronnie was born July 28, 1947 in Ronceverte, the son of the late Salina M. Baker Feamster and late Atlee F. “Speedy” Baker.

Ronnie was a graduate of Greenbrier High School and was an entrepreneur at heart. He never met a stranger and reached out to many. He was an avid Mountaineer Fan and loved spending time at the Greenbrier River.

Other than his parents Ronnie was preceded in death by his step-father, Wilson Feamster; sister-in-law, Letha Reed Baker; and brother-in-law, Clarence Morgan.

Surviving Ronnie are his wife, Cheryl Colaw Baker of Ronceverte; sons, Travis Baker of Fairlea and Kevin Baker and wife Heather of Crawley; grandchildren, Mallory Baker, Seth Baker, Kolton Baker, Harrison Baker and Laurel Baker; sisters, Greta Gayhart and husband Tracy of Verona, VA, and Dreama Morgan of Ronceverte; brothers, Art Baker and wife Phyllis of Pickaway and Jim Baker of Ronceverte; sister-in-law, Doris Nelson and husband Danny of Wildwood, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Memorial Service for Ronnie will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19 at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte with Pastor Sharon Howard, Pastor Jonathan Turner and Pastor Roger McDaniel officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Per Ronnie’s wishes he will be cremated and a private burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shuck Memorial Baptist Church, 841 Washington Street West, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to: Amedysis Home Health, Dr. Patrick Ryan and staff at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Robert McClintic and staff at the Brian Center, Jonathan Turner, Pastor of Shuck memorial Baptist Church and various caregivers.
