Dr. James Caplinger, from the University of Charleston, will give a complimentary lecture beginning at 12:15 p.m.\r\n\r\nTickets are $18 for general adult admission, $14 for seniors (60+) and $10 for children\/students. The production will be conducted by Marco Armiliato.\r\n\r\n\u201cFrom his first entrance to his last exit alongside Westbroek, Kaufmann WAS Dick Johnson. He moved about with confident swagger of a cinematic cowboy, rubbing off insults with a vibrant smile.\u201d <em>\u2014 Opera Wire<\/em>\r\n\r\nKaufmann made his Met debut in 2006s La Traviata as Alfredo and has since filled many complex roles. These roles include title characters in Parsifal and Faust. Upcoming roles include the title character in Verdi\u2019s Otello at the Bavarian State Opera and, in another Verdi masterpiece, Don Alvaro in La Forza del Destino at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.\r\n\r\nThe program is presented with financial assistance from the WV Division of Arts, Culture & History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the WV Commission on the Arts.
