Rodney M. Dunn

Parker City, IN-Rodney M. Dunn 61, passed away at his home Sunday, Mar. 29, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.

Rodney was born Aug. 25, 1953, in Lewisburg. He was the son of Virgil M. “Jack” Dunn and Brownie Dunn.

He was preceded in death by his father in September 2007.

He is survived by: his wife, Jana Nutter Dunn; son, Aaron and wife Golda of Denver, CO; mother, Brownie Dunn of Inverness FL; two aunts, August Hefner and Frankie Bostic and their families, as well as several other cousins; his mother-in-law, Bertha Nutter; three brothers-in-laws, Tim, James and Steve; sister-in-law, Kenna, with their families; also special friends of the family, Dr. Robert and Jeanne Holstein.

Rodney grew up in Lewisburg graduating from High School at Greenbrier East. He attended Fairmont State College and in the late ‘70s acquired his Long Term Care License working as an Administrator. He worked for Magnolia Health Systems in Indiana for 20 years becoming a Regional Director of Operations. There he made many life time friends who have stood by him through his five years of battling cancer; especially Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Reed who treated him as a brother.

Rodney loved the times he was able to spend at the camp on the Greenbrier River with a camp fire burning.

His funeral was conducted at Parker City Christ Fellowship in Parker City, IN on Wednesday, Apr. 1.

The family will welcome their friends at the Edgewood Presbyterian Fellowship Hall on Apr. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. and graveside rites at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg will be Apr. 6, at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Hefner, Jr.

Any donations of sympathy may be made to the Edgewood Presbyterian Scholarship Fund.
