Robert T. Zopp
Maxwelton-Robert T. “Robbie” Zopp, 73, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.
Born Oct. 3, 1941, Robbie was the son of the late Telford and Verna Nutter Zopp.
Robbie was a local musician (saxaphone) who loved to play live music and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a retired Surveyor and electrical data and radar systems engineer for NOAH (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administraion) with the US Department of Commerce.
Other than his parents, Robbie was preceded in death by sisters, Uldene Martin, Louise Hollandsworth, Wanda Orndorff and Kathleen Wheeler.
Survivors include: his wife, Jeannean R. Zopp; daughters. Karin (Tim) Harper of White Sulphur Springs and Ursula Zopp of Lewisburg; son, Stephen (Anchalee) Zopp of Lancaster, CA; grandchildren, Caleb Zopp. Jacob Harper, Natalie Harper, Skyler Zopp and Silas Zopp; and sister, Barbara Gilmore of Lewisburg.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, at Lewisburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Rick Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
The family welcomes flowers, but donations of sympathy may also be made to Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.
