Robert Randall Wallace, Jr. of Union, WV, passed away on Monday, Mar. 2, 2026, at Peyton Hospice House, in Fairlea. Born in Ronceverte on June 24, 1949, Randy was the son of the late Randall and Lucille Keeling Wallace.

He was a member of the Union United Methodist Church. Randy was married to Sally Bias Wallace for almost 50 years. Surviving are his daughters, Roberta Wallace of Union, and Dr. Vanessa Wallace of Princeton, and his grandson, John Owens of Union and Concord University. Also surviving Randy are his siblings: Steve Wallace (Debbie), Terri Bennett, and Susan Weikle (Charles), several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Randy was a 1967 graduate of Union High School and a graduate of Concord College with a BS in Education, where he excelled in playing basketball. He was a founding member of the Crazy Eights fraternity. Randy was a dedicated health, history, and physical education teacher in Monroe County for 39 years. He coached basketball and football at both Union High School and James Monroe High School. Along with his daughter Vanessa, he ran a cow/calf operation, sheep herd, and exhibited purebred dairy goats. Randy and Vanessa were frequently seen driving all over the county in their Goats ‘R’ Great truck. Randy was a history buff and loved to play cards and watch westerns. In their spare time, Randy and Sally enjoyed finding and selling antiques.

Randy’s services will be held at Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union on Saturday, Mar. 7. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 1 p.m., and the funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Services will be officiated by Pastor Eugene Fullen.

Pallbearers will be John Owens, Charles Taylor, David Johnson, Charles Weikle, Michael Andrews, Pat and Tim Via.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation, Parkinson.org.

His family would like to especially thank David Johnson, Michael Andrews, Groves-Mann Funeral Home, Peyton Hospice House, and Green Valley Animal Hospital.
