Lewisburg-Robert Edwin “Bobby” McClung, 68, passed away Thursday, Apr. 21, 2022 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA.

Bobby was born June 19, 1953 at Ronceverte, the son of the late Edwin and Margaret Thrasher McClung.

Bobby worked at Kroger for many years and was currently employed at UTC Aerospace Systems in Union.

Other than his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a brother, Gene McClung.

Survivors include his daughter, Lindsey Lyon and husband Greg of Charleston, SC; sister, Jill McClung of Williamsburg; brothers, Ralph McClung of Williamsburg and John McClung and wife Susie, of Williamsburg; special cousin, Janice Hatfield of  Mt. Morris, PA; and several nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.

A graveside service for Bobby was held on Thursday, Apr. 28, at the Andrew Chapel Cemetery in Williamsburg where Pastor Stephen Baldwin officiated.

There was no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Arthritis research can be made to the Arthritis Foundation at https://www.arthritis.org, or the Andrew Chapel Cemetery Fund, c/o Debbie Hedrick, P.O. Box 40, Williamsburg, WV 24991.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
