Robert Darrell Lucas

Neola-Robert Darrell Lucas, 63, passed away on Saturday, July 30, at his residence after a short illness.
Born Aug. 29, 1952, in Ranger, WV, he was a son of the late Russell Barker and Ella Mae Fraley Lucas.
He attended Cochran Missionary Baptist Church at Neola. Robert was a retired CSX railroad conductor with 33 years of service. He liked hunting and fishing, working on small engines, and helping other people with projects.
Preceding him in death, other than his parents, was a grandson, PJ Wiles.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Regina at home; sons, Alex Darrell Lucas of Roanoke, VA and Russell Thomas Lucas of Blue Ridge, VA; daughter, Vanessa Starr Nicely of Huntington; and grandson, Logan Storm McKenice of Huntington.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the May Chapel United Methodist Church in Neola where Rev. Roger Frame officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Visitation was at the church one hour prior to the service.
Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs, is serving the family.
