Robert Dale Crookshanks, 81, of Rupert, died on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at his home in Rupert.
He was the son of R.B. Crookshanks and Thelma M. Remley Crookshanks.
Robert enjoyed hunting and worked all the time. He was the owner of Bika’s Slaughterhouse in Dawson. He enjoyed daily visits from close friends at the Slaughterhouse for chitter chatter on farming and cattle.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nelda McClaskie; brothers, Delbert Ray Crookshanks, and Gene Crookshanks.
Robert is survived by his wife, Shirley Bika Crookshanks; son, Jay Crookshanks; grandchild, Cristrian Alex Crookshanks; a granddaughter; and honorary granddaughters, Shanley Amick and Shayla Louden.
Services will be held at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel in Rainelle, on Saturday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Steve Martin officiating. Entombment will follow in Wallace Memorial Mausoleum. A visitation for friends and family will be Friday, Dec. 27 from 5 until 8 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will Steve Williams and Dennis Meadows.
