Frankford – Ricky Earl “Lucky Dog” Ramsey, 60, passed away Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at home.
Born Jan. 10, 1957, in Ronceverte, Lucky Dog was the son of the late Susie Ellen Mace Ramsey Wade and the late Guy Frederick Ramsey.
Lucky Dog was self-taught carpenter, farmer, pipe-titter, masonry man. He really was a jack-of-all-trades and he was a Christian.
Other than his parents, Lucky Dog was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Jean Shortridge and a brother, Roger Dale Ramsey.
Survivors include companion, Susan Reed of Frankford; children, Adaire Ramsey of Ronceverte, Richard Aleshire-Ramsey of Ronceverte, Paul Aleshire of Ronceverte and Chris Rider of Frankford; sisters, Mary Sue Judy and husband Rusty of Williamsburg, Joann Arthur of Alta Vista, VA, and Rebecca Ellen Ramsey of Lewisburg; brothers, Fred Ramsey and wife Janet of Colora, MD, George David Ramsey and wife Debora of Renick and Kenneth Wayne Ramsey of Charleston; step-daughter, Krisanna Elmore of Frankford.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home where Pastor Gene Sizemore officiated.
Friends called at the funeral home before the memorial service.
