Lewisburg – Richard Eugene Weikle, 68, passed away following a short illness at the Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem, VA.

Born Oct. 7, 1951, at Ronceverte, he was the son of the late Edward Weikle and Lovetta Long Wooten.  Richard retired as a Sales Supervisor for Capitol Beverage in Charleston.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Dawn Weikle; two brothers, Kenny and Mickey Weikle; and a sister, Bonnie Adkins.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Grace Weikle; son, Jimmy Vance (Genny) of Lewisburg; grandsons, Tyler and Jameson Vance; brothers, Billy Weikle (Kay), Gary Weikle (Sharon) and Donnie Weikle (Barbara) all of Ronceverte, and Ronnie Wooten of Ohio; brother-in-law, Floyd Adkins of Caldwell; sister-in-law, Linda Weikle of Mineral, VA; aunt, Sue Bailey (Ronnie) of Fairlea; special nephew, Allen Weikle; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, at the Adwell Cemetery, Ronceverte, with Pastor Gary Baker officiating.
