Display of jewelry at Svelte’s Corner Boutique on Edgar Avenue in Ronceverte
Three new businesses were christened on Edgar Avenue in Ronceverte on Tuesday. Members of Main Street Ronceverte and the City Council were on hand to applaud the entrepreneurs in their openings of their shops of wares and services.
A team of businessmen are offering videography, professional direction and editing services for everyone, especially people who are intimidated with all of the new technology available. JRS Video and Audio owners Shawn Sinclair and Jeff Russell held their open house at 220 Edgar Avenue, and demonstrated the newest and truly greatest technology available today for audio and video services. Russell says, “Re-mastering photos, reel to reel tape. VHS tape and other media to the highest quality digital formats is how we plan to help preserve people’s memories forever.” Sinclair adds, “We are available here, and on-site for state-of-the-art audio and video production of artist performances, weddings, sporting events and just about anything.”
Many people would love to have an old family VHS tape turned into a DVD or Bluray, yet have no idea how to do it or where to go. Russell says, “We want to make this an easily accessible service and at extremely affordable pricing.’” For instance a basic transfer of a VHS tape to DVD is going to start at only $10. There is a Facebook page for JRS Video and Audio. The phone number is 304-992-5665 and the website is www.jrsvideoandaudio.webs.com with tons of information, and frequently asked questions answered.
Cosmetologist Stephanie Rodoussakis opened her new salon Head 2 Toe Innovations, also on West Edgar Avenue on Tuesday. Rodoussakis took a moment from her pedicure client to run outside for the ribbon cutting to celebrate her new business, and went straight back to work smiling all the way. The shop is beautiful and her services will include waxing, manicures and pedicures and hair styling for men and women. You might get lucky walking in; but the phone number for appointments is 304-661-1184.
Down at 715 East Edgar Avenue, the last ribbon cutting ceremony was for Teresa Bennett’s new Svelte’s Corner Boutique. The small shop in the white brick building houses thousands of stunning treasures at unbelievably affordable prices. Fine costume jewelry, mixed with some things precious metal and stoned, are quite striking once you enter the store. Bennett officially opens on April 11. The number to Svelte’s is 304-6671775.
Main Street Ronceverte’s Sally Baker says, “Here are three new, necessary additions to our town’s redevelopment. I am encouraging all to come down to Edgar Avenue and check out what all is now going on down here. You’d be surprised.” You can grab a bite to eat, shop for some bling, get your hair done and drop of some old videos for restoration, all from one parking spot on Edgar Avenue, she says.
