Rennie Evelyn Bennett, 84, of Ronceverte, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, at CAMC Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Born Mar. 29, 1940, in Western Greenbrier County, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Jessie Pearl Boggess Goins. Evelyn was a homemaker and a member of the McLean Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Buck” Bennett, siblings, Christine Holcomb, Lorena Whitt, Darrell, Arnold and Romallee Goins.
Survivors include her son, James Bennett (Crissy), grandchildren, Dustin Bennett, Brittany Duncan (Cody) and Tori Bennett, great-grandchildren, Bentlee, Alexis and Asher Bennett and Addalee Duncan, brothers, Gene Goins (Cheryl), Dale Goins (Wanda), Ernie Goins (Wilma) and Ermal Goins, sister, Arthella Bentley, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 12 noon, Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg, WV.
