The Park Committee in Renick is working on a memory garden at the Renick Park. We plan on creating a flower garden accented with memory stones made by the Stone Company in Monroe County. If anyone would like to donate a flower or bulbs to this endeavor please contact Melinda Workman or any member of the Town Council. If you are interested in a memory stone for a loved one you may make a donation of $35 to the Town of Renick/memory stone project. This will cover the cost of a small stone engraved with the name of loved one. No more than 14 characters on two lines. For more information contact Ruby Griffey at 304-497-2258 or Martha Workman at 304-497-2703. Make checks payable to Town of Renick. Order forms may be picked up at the Town Hall or by calling 304-497-2703 and we will mail a form to you if necessary. We will take orders until Mar. 1.

The Memory Garden will be in place by the June 28 Festival in Renick where it will be dedicated at this time. We would also like to thank Ruby Griffey and the Lester family for donating two stone benches for the park which are on each side of the gazebo. They have enhanced the park and offer a great place to set and enjoy the park. For additional information or to make a donation to the park email Melinda at melindalworkman@gmail.com.
