Lewisburg-Rebecca Hern Ryder McGinnis, 63, passed away Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, at CAMC Greenbrier Valley Medical Center after a short illness.
Born Mar. 18, 1960, in Lewisburg, she was a daughter of the late Harold C. and Nancy Hern Ryder.
Rebecca was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in the Richlands Community of Lewisburg and was a retail clerk.
In addition to her parents, Rebecca is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Gene McGinnis in 2016; father and mother-in-law, James and Anna Hatcher McGinnis; and a brother-in-law, James McGinnis.
Survivors include a daughter, Erin Nicole McGinnis of Lewisburg; sister, Debra Allen (Darrell) of Beckley; nieces and nephews, Seth Allen of Beckley, David Allen of Beckley, Andrew Allen of Morgantown, Michael Allen of Beckley, Katherine Hutsenpiller (Tanner) of Meadow Bridge, Garrett McGinnis of Orlando, FL, Megan Van Hall (Ryan) of Land O’ Lakes, FL, Jillian Jamison (Keith) of Odessa, Florida, Emily Neel (Chuck) of Winston Salem, NC, Lucy Neel of Winston Salem, NC and Carden Neel of Winston Salem, NC; great-nephew, Avery Joseph Allen of Beckley; and sister-in-law, Glenda Jo Humphreys (Mike) of King, NC.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery, Richlands, with Rev. Emory Hanna officiating.
There will be no public visitation.
