The Greenbrier Valley Breast Cancer Support Group was a participant in the 2013-2014 Quilts of Hope Project for the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Cancer Diagnostic and Treatment Fund. Our Quilt of Hope was quilted by the Alderson Quilters Guild and raffle tickets were sold by members of the Breast Cancer Support Group to raise donations for the Diagnostic and Treatment Fund.
The winner of the 2013-2014 quilt was Deb Matheny of Maxwelton.
Statewide, the Quilts of Hope Project raised more than $15,000 in donations and there were 12 quilts made for this project. The Support Group would like to thank everyone who purchased a ticket and made our second Quilt of Hope Project such a success and we will again be a participant in the 2015-2016 Project that begins next year.
