Rainelle Town Council

meetings are held every second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at Rainelle City Hall. The public is invited to attend.

Greenbrier County Farmland Protection Board

meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m.  at the Greenbrier County Courthouse, 912 Court Street North, Lewisburg, WV  24901 in the County Commission Meeting Room. The public is invited to attend. Call 304-520-3221 for more information.

Renick Town Council

will meet Monday, June 2 at 7 p.m. at Renick Town Hall. Agenda items include:

  • Community comments
  • Approval of Minutes and financial reports
  • Old business
  • 2nd and final reading of proposed revision of ordinance 2-104 compensation council, 2-212 compensation mayor and 2-319 compensation recorder, paving project,  McCutcheon building, water master meter location
  • New business
  • Committee reports and other business

Lewisburg Historic Landmarks Commission

Historic Landmarks Commission

will meet Monday, June 9, at 5 p.m. in the Paul R. Cooley Council Chambers, 942 Washington Street, West, to hear the following applications:

  • George Underwood, 279 Foster St – application for addition to be built to existing log cabin
  • Tony Juker, 879 Washington St – install a “36”x48” Del Sol sign on existing post
  • Patricia Lally, 489 Randolph St – repair front porch broken bricks and back patio
  • Bernard and Karin Tronche, 210 North Lee St – change of plans from previous 5/13/2024 approved application
  • Rich McMahan, 134 Harris St – new building application for log cabin
  • Shay Newton, 900 Washington St West, Suite 5 – install sign on existing post, black and white in color
  • Ben Long, 491 Church St – new root, Demo cinder block building in the back install new paved driveway, with retaining wall off McElhenny Road, on South side of house and build a screened-in porch, and North side extend bathroom
  • Florian Schleiff, 151 Feamster – complete the retaining wall on corner of Court and Feamster
  • Florian Schteiff, vacant lot 151 Feamster – changes made for previously approved garage, porch addition will be moved from West side to East side, change 5 windows to only 2 windows main door will be installed on West side with a Man door stoop and use 2-10×8 garage doors (Forrest Green)
  • Austin Neal, 1184 Washington St East – replace roof with White EDPM replace or add flashing from porch roof to siding of house
  • Comments from the public
  • Comments from the Planning and Zoning Officer
  • Comments from the Commissioners

The next scheduled meeting of the Historic Landmarks Commission will be held Monday, July 14, with a deadline of 12 noon, June 18.
