Rainelle Town Council
meetings are held every second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at Rainelle City Hall. The public is invited to attend.

Greenbrier County Farmland Protection Board
meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at the Greenbrier County Courthouse, 912 Court Street North, Lewisburg, WV 24901 in the County Commission Meeting Room. The public is invited to attend. Call 304-520-3221 for more information.

Historic Landmarks Commission
will meet Monday, Jan. 12, at 5 p.m. in Paul R. Cooley Council Chambers, 942 Washington Street, Lewisburg, to hear the following applications.
• Cynthia and Patrick Shea, 1546 Washington Street East – build a small entry deck and outside stairs on the side of the building facing into the yard, install 2 new garage doors, add a new door entrance between the new garage doors, and replace the windows with Anderson Series E
• Jeremy Hill, 845 Court Street North – adding or resurfacing manufactured stone to the front of building 3-4 feet high from the sidewalk with a stone lip
• Edith Arbaugh, 268 Chestnut Street – replace the doors and all windows on the house and put in a driveway with a carport with connecting sidewalks
• Angus Maclvor, 357 Lee Street – install a 12’x18’ carport over existing gravel parking/patio area
• Bernard and Karin Tronche, 284 Lee Street – garage door information, lighting

• Election of Chair and Secretary

The next scheduled meeting of the Lewisburg Historic Landmarks Commission will be held Monday, Feb. 9, with a deadline of Thursday, Jan. 22, at 10 a.m.

Lewisburg Finance Committee
will meet in regular session Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. in Paul R. Cooley Council Chamber. The following topics are scheduled for discussion:
• Employee Health Insurance Renewal
• Lafayette St. Stormwater Project Pay Request No. 5
• Chapman Technical Group Task Order – Greenbrier County Library HVAC Replacement
• Public Works Building Bid approval

  • Garage door opener

  • Removal of one garage door

  • Placement of canopies/awnings
    • Fire Department – Salary increase Wesley Williamson EMT Certification
    • Police Department Officers Proposed Pay Increase

    • Communications from city manager
