Emily Tighe, former member of the Charleston Ballet and the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, has joined forces with Greenbrier Valley Fitness Center to bring classical dance training to the Greenbrier Area. Tighe has performed in numerous Dance Productions throughout her career with the previously listed companies as well as The Moscow Ballet, Charlotte City Ballet and former American Ballet Theatre Member William Starrett’s Summer Dance Exhibition.
Tighe has studied under renowned teachers and choreographers who are recognized as revolutionaries in the development of Dance in the United States. These include the late David Howard and Oleg Briansky, both published authors of Classical Dance Technique.
The Greenbrier Valley Dance Academy is featuring Mommy & Me for toddlers and Adult Beginner Classes. Registration is now open for all ages and levels in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz/Hip Hop, Lyrical and Strengthening & Conditioning.
