What can be better than winning first place? Being eligible for the Presidio Studios Top Entrepreneur Cash Bonus Contest! As an enthusiastic supporter of entrepreneurism and creativity, Timothy Luce, president of Presidio Studios is funding a yearly competition among Greenbrier Valley Entrepreneur Cafe (GVE Cafe) winners to determine who has demonstrated the best use and most growth due to their seed winnings. A $500 bonus will be awarded to the chosen Entrepreneur.
Presidio Studios is a full-service ad agency, with a bent on tracking the performance of their campaigns to better serve our clients here and abroad. Timothy, an entrepreneur since age 10 (when he started a lawn mowing business to buy his first camera), believes in the value of fostering the entrepreneurial spirit. “When I first learned about the Entrepreneurship Café, I immediately wanted to get involved. My first thought was to apply for a new idea I had, (you never really get over being an entrepreneur), but then I decided I’d like to help other entrepreneurs instead.”
The next winner of the GVE Cafe will be selected mid-September. Cafe organizing partner, Greenbrier Valley Economic Development Corporation will sponsor the initial seed funding of $500 with community support and crowd-funding adding to the funds. The previous two cafes have yielded over $1,200 for each winner. Applications are being taken to compete in September at www.gvecafe.com under the Participation tab. Contestants are given five minutes to pitch their idea for a new business or for a new feature for their existing business. For more information, please call 304-667-7027. The partnering organizations bringing this opportunity to our area are New River Community and Technical College, Greenbrier Valley Economic Development and the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce.
