Sergeant Brad Eggleston of the Lewisburg Police Department visited Old Stone Presbyterian Preschool’s 3 and 4 year old classes with his hard working side kick and police dog, Duke.

Each day the preschool children learn academic skills such as early literacy and math skill, as well as how to build meaningful friendships and independence skills. Teachers Deborah Cullen and Libbey Hannah also work with children on practicing proper hygiene and kindergarten readiness skills on a regular basis.

Children were delighted to welcome Sergeant Eggleston and Duke as a special treat! They learned important Halloween safety tips and all about Duke’s life as a career police officer. Old Stone will be exploring the world with their preschoolers by inviting several other community helpers into the classroom throughout the school year.
