Physical therapists from Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy in Ronceverte were recently named board-certified clinical specialists by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Specialist certification formally recognizes physical therapists who have demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and skills in a specific area of physical therapist practice.

Travis McClintic, PT, DPT, SCS of Williamsburg, was recently awarded the designation of board-certified sports clinical specialist, while James Burke PT, MPT, OCS is a 7-year board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist.

According to Kevin Workman, PT, DPT, ATC, ECS owner of Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy, “We are proud that these physical therapists have been awarded one of the highest designations available in our profession. Each has demonstrated a sincere commitment to pursuing an advanced level of skill with which to best serve our patients.” Workman himself is a board-certified clinical specialist in clinical electrophysiology.

For more than 30 years, Greenbrier Valley Physical Therapy has been a leader in providing outpatient orthopedic, sports, occupational, aquatic and geriatric physical therapy services in the Greenbrier valley. By using an individualized approach to care, Greenbrier Valley physical therapists help patients regain strength, improve mobility and reduce pain without medication or surgery, in many cases.
