Phyllis Betty Sheets, 76, of Lewisburg passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Peyton Hospice House. Born June 19, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Estil and Virginia Elizabeth Bostic Keene. Phyllis loved and lived life to its fullest. She loved playing golf and bowling and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy although she thought a lot of her sons-in-law.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret “Pudden” Miller and Elizabeth Ann Burns, nephews, Estil “Bud” Burns, Kenny Miller and James Brown and a niece, Laura “Sissy” Miller.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Donnie Sheets, daughters, Deadra Laxton (Brian) and Angie Martin (Mike) sisters, Esther Aleshire and Wanda Martin, grandchildren, Josh Laxton (Chelsea), Sam Laxton, Justin Martin (Trista), Harrison Martin (Hailey) and Allyson Martin, great grandchildren, Colter, Benton, Owen and Jamesin, her beloved dog, Baby, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m, Monday, September 30, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m.
