Dabney S. Lancaster Community College is offering a 90-hour, 10-week non-credit course, \u201cPhlebotomy Technician,\u201d on the DSLCC Clifton Forge, VA, campus, beginning Thursday, June 2. The class will meet two nights a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, through Aug. 11, from 6-9:30 p.m., and three Saturdays.\r\nThe course prepares professionals to collect blood specimens from clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. In addition to the classroom work, the course includes a 40-hour clinical externship rotation. To be eligible for the clinical rotation, students must successfully complete the 90 hour program, submit to a thorough background check, drug screening and meet other requirements.
