As the season of Christmas approaches, let’s remember those less fortunate and dedicate ourselves to making the holidays more blessed for them. You can help a family in Greenbrier County by donating to Penny Pitch.
Penny Pitch is a totally volunteer organization, and for years, Penny Pitch has served needy families at Christmas and beyond, with gifts for children, winter clothes and shoes, bedding, household goods, food, utility payments, and even firewood delivery. Families who receive help also have a food box delivered before Christmas, and after Christmas, we pay on utilities if we have raised enough funds.
Notice the “if” in the previous sentence. Once we have taken care of the initial needs, if we still have funds, we pay as much as we can on utilities. We receive funds from individuals and groups, many of whom give in honor or in memory of a loved one. Please donate to Penny Pitch and help bless someone else this Christmas.
