Peggy Jean Lockhart, 71 of Lewisburg, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV. Born Jan. 13, 1953, in Caldwell, WV, she was the daughter of the late David Easley Defibaugh and Beaulah Catherine Morgan Defibaugh Weikle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy White and seven siblings.
Survivors include her husband, James Lockhart Sr., sons, James Lockhart Jr. and David White, daughter, Jeannie Lockhart (Richard Hardiman), grandchildren, Eliza Hardiman, Angel Lockhart and James Lockhart and her dog, Fii-Bee.
Funeral service will be at 12 noon, Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, with Billy Adkins officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow and will be private for the immediate family. Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.
