Peggy Ann Jarrell Dillon

Ronceverte-Peggy Ann Jarrell Dillon died Monday, May 4, 2015, in Fairlea, at the Peyton Hospice House after a long illness.

She was born Apr. 20, 1935, at Colcord, WV, and raised in Ameagle, WV. She is the only child of the late Jess W. and Evelyn Thompson Jarrell.

Married on Oct. 20, 1953, to Gene T. Dillon for 47 years before his death in 2000. She moved to Cleveland. OH and later to Brunswick, OH and back to West Virginia in 1984 to Dorothy and later to Ronceverte.

Peggy was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening. She was a wonderful cook and baker and her family and friends have many special memories of her hospitality. Peggy loved animals and had many pets; especially dogs. She was of the Baptist faith; currently a member of the Greenbrier Baptist Church. She and her husband were faithful members of the Whitesville Baptist and Sylvester Baptist Church for many years.

Peggy is survived by: her sons, Victor Gene Dillon (Elaine) of Lewisburg and Rev. Timothy Dillon (Cynthia) of Ronceverte; granddaughter, Bethany Dillon; four grandsons, Ryan (Olivia), Jonathan (Erin), Sean (Sarah) and Patrick (Ellen) Dillon; two great-grandchildren, Addison Hull and Liam Gene Dillon and one on the way.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 7, at Blue-Ridge Memorial Gardens in Becklev where Pastor Tim Dillon officiated. As requested by Peggy, there was no visitation.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Greenbrier Baptist Church, P.O. Box 262, Ronceverte, WV 24970.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements. Please send online condolences by visiting www.WallaceandWallaceFH.com.
