Florida-based acrylic painter Jane Slivka will return to Carnegie Hall for the sixth year to conduct her two-day workshop “Painting Out Loud” on Monday, June 18, and Tuesday, June 19, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Slivka’s workshop is a structured step-by-step approach that instills in students a sense of accomplishment and confidence in the painting process. Class participants can look forward to painting still life, landscapes, Caribbean themed figures, and, if time permits, abstraction. Students will receive one-on-one attention and critique of their work throughout the workshop, which will meet in the Kellar Art Studio on the third floor of Carnegie Hall.

The registration deadline for Painting Out Loud is May 15. A materials list (items that each student will need to bring to class) will be provided at time of registration.

Registration is $180 for Carnegie Hall members and $200 for nonmembers. For more information, please visit carnegiehallwv.org, call 304-645-7917, or visit the Hall at 611 Church Street, Lewisburg.
