042614 MM 01AIn celebrating 80 years in business. Bill Lewis Motors in Lewisburg will regale the community with a grand reopening festivity on the weekend of May 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with hotdogs, beverages and music on hand. And manager Shannon Blake is inviting everyone to come to the party.

The new full service facility has been completely revamped with state of the art equipment and service areas. The property has been restructured to double the space available for vehicle inventory. Before, there may have been about 50 new vehicles on display, and now there is room for about 120.

The new Chevy Volt on display inside is a spectacular thing to see. Blake says the price has come down by approximately $10,000 on the gas/electric car. He expects the Silverado truck to continue being the best seller; and being able to carry more of the trucks on the lot is another area of customer service improvement stemming from the renovations. The Silverado starts at around $31,000, but the fully loaded, no gimmick version sells for closer to $50, 000. When asked what the quietest ride on the lot is, Blake immediately said the Silverado wins that prize.

Blake is proud of the fact that years of having a good reputation with banks and lenders, means there isn’t likely to be anyone Bill Lewis cannot get financing for. Blake explained that he has even taken a small loss on a vehicle to get it sold, and to build a relationship with the car buyer. The entire month of May will see all vehicles sold at $80 below invoice to involve everyone in the celebration of 80 years in business.
