Operation Christmas Child thank you

Dear Greenbrier and Monroe Counties,

I want to take this opportunity to give each person who packed a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child a big thank you and prayers for a blessed Christmas season.  Because of your efforts, 3,235 Gospel Opportunities will travel from the State Fair of West Virginia around the world to give both a gift to a child who has never received one and an opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus for the first time. Our prayer is that this opportunity bears much fruit.

I also want to explain Operation Christmas Child and hopefully encourage more people to participate. The Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child collects shoebox gifts filled with fun toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and even clothes and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way.  For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received.  Once delivered into the hands of these children, every shoebox gift is an opportunity to share about Jesus Christ and God’s love through the presentation of the gospel message and receiving a gospel book in their native language.

If you are interested in learning more about the opportunity, please email me at wallace76@aol.com

Blessings,

            Brenda Wallace
