Fellow Democrats:

Today was the last day to introduce bills in the Senate and as I’m sure you have already noted, Republican leadership still hasn’t come through with their promise for progress on jobs.

What have they been doing with their time? The complete opposite.

Instead of keeping their word to hardworking West Virginia families they have been busy pushing their radical and wrong agenda that not only dismantles the quality of our workforce, but also guts the quality of life for West Virginia families.

When I think “jobs progress” I certainly do not think of gutting your wages, stripping you of your workplace safety and protections, and hindering your ability to provide for your family which is exactly what GOP leadership has done with their time in office. How can we get ahead and move forward creating jobs when everything that they are doing is taking us backwards?

Hardworking West Virginians are working under a leadership that instead of creating jobs is gutting the quality of jobs that they already have. This reckless attack on hardworking West Virginians is one that we will continue to fight every single day. It’s wrong.

Ask your Republican Senators, “where are the jobs?”

Join me and stand with West Virginia.

Respectfully yours,

Senate Minority Leader

Jeffrey V. Kessler
