Gone to be with her husband, our beloved mother left this world on May 4, 2026, like a whisper in the wind. Born on Apr. 25, 1936 in White Sulphur Springs, WV. She was the daughter of Gay Berry Clendenen and Nellie Virginia Clendenen.

She found joy in being a homemaker, caregiver, and seamstress. She loved working in the garden and canning with her husband as well as caring for her farm animals. Okell’s life was filled with the love of caring for her children, cooking and hosting family events. Okell loved God and held a strong faith. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church of Covington, VA.

Okell was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years Theodore Curtis Camp Sr., her brothers, Nelson Clendenen and Cleo Clendenen, her sisters Ruby Davis, Shelby Weikle and Hazel Pinnell and her daughter in law Rita Camp.

Okell cherished her seven children Theodore (Teddy) Camp Jr.; Donna Camp Glover (Richard); Barbara Camp Johnson (Lin); Robert Camp (Sherri); Samuel Camp (Laura); Jeffrey Camp (Lori); Bernetta Camp Sams (Doug). She was also blessed with 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren, 1 great-great-great grandchild. She is survived by her sisters Phyllis Campbell and Rose Bennett (Wade), and a special friend Vicky Allen.

The family invites loved ones and friends to join them on May 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV. A graveside service will be led by Reverend Dean Bowser and Reverend Timothy Gainey on May 22 at 2 p.m. This will conclude the celebration of our mother’s life at Little Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The Family would like to thank the staff at the Brian Center in Low Moor, VA for the wonderful care they provided to “MawMaw” as they all called her.

Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net. Arrangements entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
