The Williamsburg CEOS Club had a very educational meeting on July 8 at the Williamsburg Historical Foundation Museum. Members learned about “Living Gluten Free” from Health Motivator Shela McComsey and did some standing exercises.
Members shared their community service activities which included LauraAnn Tiller and Lyne Jones having cleaned the inside of the museum.
Participating in the lesson, “Your Grandson’s Not In Jail: How to Avoid Being Scammed” led by Shela McComsey, were Loretta Shirley, Cassandria Perkins, Lyne Jones, Linda Spencer, LauraAnn Tiller, Burl and Patty Post. Guests participating were Sandra Schmocker, Hazel Lee, and Naomi. Everyone had experienced potential scams and the lesson was very helpful in learning ways to avoid being “scammed”!
Members brought items for the auction to support the Helping Hands Organization which will be held at the Greenbrier County CEOS Picnic on July 23.
The club will also have an exhibit at the 76th Williamsburg Community Fair on July 25 and 26. There will also be items for sale to support the Helping Hands.
The club will meet at the museum on Aug. 12 at noon. The lesson will be “Emergency Preparedness 101.” All are welcome to come and learn!
