New River CTC to offer courses for real estate appraisers\r\nDavid Shields, general accredited real estate appraiser, will offer two courses in July at New River Community and Technical College\u2019s Greenbrier Valley Campus.\r\n\u201cBetter Safe Than Sorry,\u201d a practical guide on how to avoid liability and common errors that require revisions in appraisals, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 15.\r\n\u201cAppraising Green Residences,\u201d will provide an overview of increasingly-common \u201cGreen\u201d features of homes selling on the market. What is considered a Green home? What are Green materials, building techniques, and other environmentally-friendly real estate characteristics? This course will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 16.\r\nParticipants will receive 7 credit hours of continuing education credentials for completing each class. The cost for each class is $170, which includes a textbook.\r\nPlease register by July 8.
