New River Community and Technical College is preparing for the spring 2017 semester by holding events during December and January to help students register for class at the college’s campuses in Beaver, Lewisburg, Princeton and Summersville.
Registration Days are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following New River CTC locations: Mercer County Campus, Thursday, Dec. 1; Greenbrier Valley Campus, Tuesday, Dec. 6; Raleigh County Campus, Wednesday, Dec. 7; Nicholas County Campus, Thursday, Dec. 8; Mercer County Campus, Wednesday, Jan. 4; Greenbrier Valley Campus and Raleigh County Campus, Thursday, Jan. 5; and Nicholas County Campus, Friday, Jan. 6.
“By having Registration Day events, we’re giving current students an easy way to get registered for classes, and new students can begin the admissions process,” said Director of Enrollment Services Tracy Evans. “If students can’t attend the events, they can schedule an appointment at a time that works for them to sign up for classes.”
New students will be able to take placement tests during Registration Days if on campus by 1:30 p.m. Testing will be available on a first come basis, as space is limited. Placement testing can also be scheduled through the Student Success Center.
Spring classes begin Jan. 17, and registration will continue through Jan. 6. New students interested in registering for classes, but unable to attend a registration event can visit a campus location Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., call 866-349-3739 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment.
