New River Community and Technical College recently recognized the accomplishments of 33 graduates from the College’s School of Practical Nursing.

During the ceremony, students received nursing pins and lit candles symbolizing the lamp that was carried by Florence Nightingale in the Crimean War. Students also recited The Nightingale Pledge, a commitment to serve patients with the highest standards of care.
