The New River Community and Technical College Office of Workforce Education will offer a four-week Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) course in Summersville beginning Dec. 2. Local instructors skilled in the industry will provide substantial knowledge and practical application through classroom and on the road training.
Classes will take place Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Classes will not be held Dec. 23-27.
Tuition is $2,500 and includes all supplies, materials and a fuel fee. Students also will be responsible for a physical fee and testing fees. Financial aid is available, and displaced coal miners may be eligible for UMWA (United Mine Workers of America) funds.
