Riverview Café, located with the Riverview Motel at 1335 Riverview Avenue West in Alderson, has had a soft opening for a few weeks now.

They will hold their formal grand opening and ribbon cutting, sponsored by Alderson Main Street, on Monday, July 1, at 1 p.m. Everyone is invited.

Open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and featuring an all-day breakfast as well as hot dogs, sandwiches and specials, it is fast becoming a local favorite. Operated by Teri and Chip James, the Café adds another food option to the local scene.

Teri does most of the cooking and her “home cooked” specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays have been particularly popular. Mayor Travis Copenhaver said, “It is great to have another restaurant choice in Alderson. We hope locals and visitors will try them all.”
