Curtis Sharp, a native of Renick, Greenbrier County, and his son Mitchell have published a new book about their ancestors and cousins. It tells how in 1802 John Sharp and wife Margaret Blain Sharp, with high hopes for the future, departed Rawley Springs, Rockingham County, VA, with their 11 children, and crossed the mountains for the “Wilds of Pocahontas County.” The book chronicles the next 200 hundred years of the toil, successes, and contributions to Pocahontas County and the rest of the world. The fully indexed genealogical histories include 6,500 descendants and spouses of John and Margaret’s children, punctuated with individual curiosities, accomplishments and downfalls.

Book is currently available from http://www.amazon.com,https://www.createspace.com/4956125 and similar sites, or from the authors (curtissharp@netscape.com or 304-876-3189).
