The Greenbrier East Football Team, in partnership with Dodge, recently announced they will host a Car Show and Test Drive Event Saturday, July 27. The unique event will allow car lovers a chance to view some of the area’s best antique cars, trucks and bikes, while also experiencing the newest Dodge models right at Greenbrier East High School.

Car Show winnersThe day’s activities will kick off at 9 a.m. as the High School parking circle is transformed into the area’s newest car show. The event hopes to attract some of the area’s best antique cars in addition to unique motorcycles and trucks.

In addition to the car show, Dodge will showcase four new model cars, trucks and vans as part of the company’s Dodge School Booster program. In addition to being able to view the four new Dodge automobiles, those who test drive them will be helping out the football program, as Dodge will donate $20 to the program for each drive. “This is a unique program where Dodge gives back to hundreds of communities throughout the country,” said Dennis Mankins, sales manager at Greenbrier Motors. “Unlike big tent events, this program allows us to showcase a select number of new Dodge models and for each test drive taken along a special route, Dodge will donate $20 to the football program. Similar communities have raised upwards of $5,000 from the Dodge event alone, so we’re looking forward to seeing what we can do here in the Greenbrier Valley.”

The East Football program was honored to be named a partner. “The Football Team is always looking for unique ways to raise funds to support our team in ways that other AAA schools do with larger budgets. We’re very excited to have been awarded the Dodge School Booster grant program and hope everyone in the community will come out to support us by attending the event and test driving a car,” said Head Coach Ray Lee, now in his second season with the Spartans.

To participate in the car show, registrants can arrive at 8 a.m. or pick up a registration form at Greenbrier Motors. Entry fee is $15 and six awards will be given at the end of the day along with a registration gift for each entry. For more information on the event, phone 304-667-4534 or visit www.gospartanfootball.com. The event is sponsored in part by the Greenbrier East Football Parents, Greenbrier Motors, Dodge and WRON.
