Nell Geneva Sue Boothe, 90, of Greeneville, TN, formerly of Frankford, WV, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026.

Born on May 15, 1935, in Frankford, WV, Geneva was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph Lee and Virgie Lee Dolan Meredith. She was known for her love of shopping, her joy in baby-sitting, her passion for reading books, and her fondness for word search puzzles. Geneva and her late husband, Murl Dean Boothe, were often seen as the beloved “front porch sitters” of the Frankford community, sharing stories and welcoming neighbors with warmth and kindness.

In addition to her husband and parents, Geneva was preceded in death by all of her siblings and her son-in-law, Clifford “Tinker” Banton.

She is survived by her loving family: her son, Calvin Boothe (Erica); her daughter, Drema Banton; her granddaughter, Tia Salyers (Jamie); and her great-grandchildren, Austin Gilley (Jamie), Beaux Gilley (Laura), Audrina Edwards, and Grady Gilley. Geneva is also remembered by her special great-nephew, Dr. Paul Dale Dietz, as well as several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Vince Deeds officiating. Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30. Burial will follow the service in Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg, WV. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to her church, Susong Memorial Church, 1416 Susong Memorial Road, Greeneville, TN 37743.

Those who wish may leave condolences and sign the online guestbook at www.morganfh.net. Arrangements are entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.

Geneva’s gentle spirit, loving heart, and welcoming presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
